Winikoff's most recent project is dedicated to the soundtracks of the musicals that he grew up with as a Jewish kid from New Jersey. In "A Broadway Jazz Revue", the Jason Winikoff Quintet performs original jazz arrangements of Broadway songs. Expect creative reinterpretations of classic and deep-cut showtunes from musicals such as Wicked, Rent,Les Misérables, 42nd Street, West Side Story, and more. These renditions are geared both towards the musical-lover who wants to hear their favorite songs reimagined and the jazz fan who prefers improvisation to the camp of musical theatre. Bringing Winikoff's arrangements to life are some of Vancouver's finest including John Nicholson, Feven Kidane, Róisín Adams, and Brad Pearson.
